Eliminates the need to manually press on the piston to check lubricant level. 1980A has a blue ring that automatically indicates lubricant level inside the hub. If lubricant is low, the blue ring recedes to a level flush with the steel retaining ring. Add a small amount of grease with a hand grease gun to move the blue ring outward about 1/8 inch.
